Thanks to these super duper volunteers, we completed our 11th annual Family Photos in the Park day in Bend yesterday. This is a program we started years ago to provide free holiday portraits to local families in need. It is a tremendously rewarding program and we look forward to it every year. It's become a running "joke" with us to try to guestimate what the weather will be like. We've photographed in just about every imaginable weather condition over the years - from freezing rain to a flat out blizzard. Each year we've been able to make it work, rain or shine, with great images. It's a true test of being able to think on your feet and make a nice image under whatever conditions Mother Nature throws at you.
What's your favorite way to share your photographic gifts? Leave some ideas and inspire another photographer...or three!
