Customer Service Notebook

I haven't posted an entry in a while to my journal of fabulous customer service experiences, but here's a goodie. I keep a notebook (on my iPhone, of course) of notes on when I notice great customer service so that I can make sure I'm learning and working on doing something equally impressive in my business. The other night I was out to dinner with friends at the Blacksmith restaurant in Bend, OR. The food was awesome and the service was great too. We had too much food, as usual, and left before our waitress could return with the take-home box. As we were driving home, she called us and let us know we forgot it - then she said that the bartender was getting off work now and he would be happy to drop it by our home! She didn't even ask where we lived yet! I thought it was incredibly nice and an exemplary model of personal service. What can you do today that ventures in to the realm of pleasantly unexpected? hmmm….
