You never know where a road will take you. Intuition has always been a guiding light for me, and a few months ago I had an intuitive thought to do a presentation at IUSA and DWF that was not just about me, but about the combined knowledge of some of the most successful people that I know. I wanted to give photographers as many tools as possible to survive and thrive in our tough economy. Well, as I dove in to that project, it became more and more exciting and inspirational to me personally. After each interview, which lasted roughly an hour, I couldn't wait to get to the next one.
I had a list of about 20 questions that I wanted to ask, but each person gave me so much more information - on a variety of topics, and as I began to assimilate all of this in to a measly 90 minute presentation, I realized I was only going to scratch the surface. So, I decided that this stuff is too good to keep to myself and I'm going to put the full transcriptions of the interviews here on my blog each week or so. It takes quite a bit of time to go through them all, hence I have to spread it out.
My first interview post will be from Joe Photo. Joe was a speaker at SWPP in London with me and he is extremely talented, an inspiration, and one heck of a nice guy. Tune in tomorrow!
